"I really appreciate all of the help that you have given me, starting with helping me learn to breastfeed the right way back in June. Nieve weighs 16lbs 10oz at 5 months old and she is otherwise healthy. The bond that I have established with her is stronger than I ever could have imagined. When I started breastfeeding her my goal was to nurse for the first three months then it changed to 6 months and now the goal is at least the first year. The only times that I don't nurse her are the 2 nights a week that I work, but I am able to pump enough for those feedings. This is a very overdue thank you note! I had one session with you (in May I think). I know how busy you are--there is no reason you would remember me, but I thought it was important that you know how profoundly you impacted my life.
I am still breastfeeding. Daniel is now 6 months old, a hefty 20 lbs and couldn't be healthier. I couldn't be happier. I can't tell you how much breastfeeding has improved the quality of my life. You were so kind and affirming; I credit you with my success. You made me believe that I could manage, even after my return to work as a police officer.
