Hudson Valley Milk Bank
Hudson Valley Milk Bank is the first community-based milk bank in New York State.We are licensed by the New York State Department of Health to store and distribute human donor milk.
Most babies do not need a supplement. Some babies need a little extra milk to keep them hydrated if their mother’s milk supply is delayed. We store 4 oz. bottles of term milk for infants who need a supplement until mother’s own milk is established. The milk is available by prescription. Donors are screened and tested for infectious diseases. The milk is pooled with 3-4 other donors, pasteurized and cultured for bacteria before distribution. Our milk comes from Wake Med Milk Bank in Raleigh, North Carolina.

If you are interested in receiving donor milk, please call our office. Milk is available for immediate pickup and is $20.00 a bottle.
One of the missions of the Hudson Valley Milk Bank is to assist area hospitals with acquiring donor milk. We have been instrumental in getting donor milk into Winthrop University Hospital, Vassar Brothers Hospital and New York University Hospital.
